This. from what I have read and can gather, as far as the armor is concerned it could be a wearable skin, but have no bonus advantage over other armor, which I think will be cool cause it makes it though you are wearing your ancestor's armor handed down through the generations, but still allows those new to the world of Guild Wars to be on an even footing. The rest, yeah, sentimental purposes, to show what that character's ancestor has done.

Note on the PvP: they said they are keeping an Arenas thing and HA going, just based out of LA instead of the now flooded Battle Isles. They are also introducing large scale world v world as well

Bonus weapons with max stats that look similar to GW1 weapons that can't be traded.

Bonus headpieces or other ornamental armor that has no real armor value (like festival hats).

Bonus miniatures that can't be traded or cape emblems or something

Things that looks cool and award thousands of hours of work, yet aren't gamebreaking would be nice.

I would just like to see Guild Wars 2 come out...
I don't really care about the HoM untill I know what my dedications are going to get me.

I do not think they will offer anything that gives you any advantage over a
player that has not purchsed GW1.

I agree with that as where would it stop asking for more.

E.G then someone who has mutiple accounts should they not benifit ect, ect ,

Any speculation as thats all it is really my view keep as it is

where you see your achivements thats all.

It would be nice to have some HoM stuff come through, but I'm more interested in the feel of GW2. I'll be happy if there are little nods to GW1 in it from the devs. That has me way more interested then some sort of fashion show to point out that I played GW1 for 5 years.

Yeah, really this HoM thing better be worth the time worth while. With all the time people put in, something
cool must come out.

I wouldn't mind seeing unique miniatures, weapons or armor that have been automatically customized after linking accounts.

I would prefer some sort of convenience item that wouldn't give battle advantage. Ex. Everlasting Merchant Summoning Stone

Listen, I'm all for keeping the game balanced, but the insane k's of hours players put in should count for more than sentimentality.

Especially taking into account that the glimmer of hope for GW2 is a large part of what's been keeping GW1 going for the past few years.

I want bonus armor and weaponry. What I *don't* want is s***** /bonus armor and weaponry, the kind that one can get with a console command and soon becomes so commonplace that it means nothing.

I want to be forced to craft this stuff, even if it's customized and un-tradeable, and the crafting to require high-end mats, whatever they may be, so that when you equip the item, you had to work for it in GW2 as well as GW1 instead of just riding on the recognition of a bygone era.

Its seems unlikely that they will give us anything "usable", we'll probably get costume-like items and maybe title or auras...

I would prefer some aesthetic things or other non-game breaking things, but still have them unique and feel like a "reward"...

But also I think these rewards should be given near the END of the game, so you get that fresh feeling, be on level with new players and claim them way later in the game so you still need to work for them even though they are just passed from the first game.

my thought on the hom should be unique costumes minis maybe a bonus weapon that doesnt have any better stats and unique skin then what you can get in the game anyways. thats all im asking not anything that gives me a benefit over other players just stuff to show hey im a bit different cause i dedicated a lot of time in guild wars. the costume could be like what we got now we still need armor but just show to others and the bonus weapons can be like what you get if you bought the gwen preview or goty nothing spevcial but a different look

I'm hoping that we get a message saying, "The Eye eventually fell to the Charr, and they destroyed the HoM. But surely you had fun playing GW1, which is after all a game." Play because you enjoy it, not because you demand some kind of compensation in an entirely different venue.

I think they should be as nice as possible and non-transferable. As far as I am concerned, the people that dedicated mini Kanaxais should be able to have mini Kanaxais follow them around in GW2. But those pets should not be transferable.

I wouldn't mind seeing other things like fame emotes, zrank, armor skins and hero armors transfer either. The more different ways to signal that you're old school, the better.

No one will care about that stuff (except maybe the minis) six months into GW2 anyway if there are cool new things and emotes for players to acquire. We all recognize the problems with GW's reward systems.

I also think that armors to be crafted exclusively for old GW players is a no-no, imo, this should be a completely new game with almos no influence from GW1. I see people's point when they say they would feel as though they had wasted their time on GW1, but really I think that being "committed" is a slightly weak argument, you enjoyed the game no? It's not as though you've been through hell to get your GW1 achievements (well, drunkard title seems pretty bad but still....). All in all I am in favour of a new game where your GW1 achievements mean shizz all in GW2, except when you have a personal moment in your HoM. If it were up to me: no mini's, no weapons, no armors, no nothing except for some pretty statues in your HoM. I'm braced for the storm coming from those committed players.
/facepalm
People who have worked getting titles etc for years should get really nice rewards for there hard work.
No offense but I think the only reason you don't want good looking rewards for HoM stuff is because you don't have any.

Well hate to rain on the parade of dreaming about what people will get from hom on gw 2,but there is just a tiny little tricky detail.
How many of you remember your nc account?
Because i dont think that linking will be as simple as we want it.

They should give is some in-town benefit. Like being able to run faster in cities if you have Legendary Cartographer or something of that sort. Not really sure what way to use the other titles though.
